What are glass clamps without AbZ / aBG?
Glass clamps connect a glass pane—or a sheet of metal—to a post or other substructure. The clamps in this category do not have general certification (abZ) or general type approval (aBG). They are therefore the cost-effective solution wherever no building authority certification is required.
Models, Shapes, and Connectors
This category includes seven models in square, semi-circular, and round shapes—ranging from the compact size of 30 × 30 × 18 mm (Model 22) to 63 × 45 × 28 mm (Model 12). All clamps are available for various connectors—straight (flat) for square tubing and flat surfaces, and round for tubes of common diameters (Ø 26.9 / 33.7 / 42.4 / 60.3 mm, depending on the model).
Materials and Designs
Available materials include V2A (AISI 304) (1.4301) for indoor and outdoor use, as well as V4A (AISI 316) (1.4401/04) with higher corrosion resistance. For custom color schemes, depending on the model, die-cast zinc serves as the base material: raw or Powder coated according to RAL (e.g., RAL 7016 matte, RAL 9005 glossy). For indoor use, there is also a die-cast zinc design with a stainless steel effect (VA effect) as a cost-effective solution with a stainless steel finish; Model 16 is also available in Brass (polished, titanium-coated).
Glass and Sheet Metal Mounting
The appropriate rubber gaskets hold the pane securely in place without any play and determine the maximum thickness that can be accommodated. Rubber inserts are available for tempered glass (e.g., 6, 8, 10 mm) and laminated safety glass (e.g., 6.76 to 12.76 mm, depending on the model), as well as for sheet metal ranging from 1.5 to 5 mm. The specific range depends on the size: smaller clamps accommodate thinner discs, while larger clamps accommodate thicker ones.
Accessories and Replacement Parts
Each model comes with matching rubber pads as well as screws and caps (hex socket screws with cover plates). For Model 14, a retaining base or safety pin is also available as an option. For the double-pane and single clamps (Models 20/21), connectors (adapter pieces) are available for attachment to the posts.
